CollectionLoRA: 멀티 티처 온폴리시 증류로 LoRA 하나에 50개 효과 담기

Customized image editing aims to equip pre-trained diffusion models with specific visual effects using limited paired data, typically via Low-Rank Adaptation (LoRA). As the number of desired effects grows, storing and dynamically loading numerous these effect LoRAs significantly increases deployment overhead. Furthermore, current pipelines typically cascade these effect LoRAs with acceleration modules for fast generation, which triggers severe parameter interference and results in concept bleeding and style degradation. We propose CollectionLoRA, a multi-teacher on-policy distillation framework capable of distilling the concepts of up to 50 different effect LoRAs along with few-step generation capabilities into a single LoRA. This fundamentally resolves the feature interference issue and significantly reduces deployment costs. Specifically, the method introduces (i) a Probabilistic Dual-Stream Routing mechanism that enables the model to randomly switch between data sources during train

SemComp-Bench: 비디오 생성의 의미적 과업 완수 성능 벤치마크

We introduce Semantic Task Completion Video Generation, an outcome-oriented video generation task. Under this formulation, success requires both achievement of the intended outcome and semantic grounding. Semantic grounding characterizes the correspondence between the reference image and the generated outcome in terms of high-level semantics relevant to the task. Evaluation focuses on the generated outcome and requires neither the presentation of a complete sequence of intermediate task steps nor conventional appearance consistency with the reference image. To support systematic evaluation, we construct SemComp-Data, an evaluation dataset covering six domains. Each instance comprises a reference image, a detailed instruction, a brief instruction, and an outcome-centric video clip. A scalable four-stage curation pipeline converts raw videos into standardized SemComp-Data instances. We further introduce SemComp-Bench, an evaluation protocol that uses a vision-language model (VLM) to answ

Solving Physics Olympiad via Reinforcement Learning on Physics Simulators

We have witnessed remarkable advances in LLM reasoning capabilities with the advent of DeepSeek-R1. However, much of this progress has been fueled by the abundance of internet question-answer (QA) pairs, a major bottleneck going forward, since such data is limited in scale and concentrated mainly in domains like mathematics. In contrast, other sciences such as physics lack large-scale QA datasets to effectively train reasoning-capable models. In this work, we show that physics simulators can serve as a powerful alternative source of supervision for training LLMs for physical reasoning. We generate random scenes in physics engines, create synthetic question-answer pairs from simulated interactions, and train LLMs using reinforcement learning on this synthetic data. Our models exhibit zero-shot sim-to-real transfer to real-world physics benchmarks: for example, training solely on synthetic simulated data improves performance on IPhO (International Physics Olympiad) problems by 5-10 perce

MoVerse: 파노라믹 Gaussian Scaffold 기반 실시간 비디오 월드 모델링

We present MoVerse, a real-time video world model that creates an interactively navigable scene from a single narrow-field-of-view image. This setting is challenging because the input observes only a small fraction of the environment, while interactive roaming requires a complete surrounding world, persistent geometry, controllable camera motion, and temporally coherent high-fidelity observations. MoVerse addresses this problem by separating world construction from observation rendering. It first expands the input into a gravity-aligned 360^circ panorama with topology-aware diffusion, closing the missing field of view before 3D reasoning. It then lifts the panorama into a persistent 3D Gaussian scaffold using panoramic geometry-aware residual prediction, yielding a dense and directly renderable spatial memory. Finally, a Gaussian-conditioned video renderer translates scaffold renderings along user-specified camera trajectories into photorealistic video. To make this renderer practical

복잡도 균형 기반 Diffusion 분할

Standard continuous-time generative models rely on monolithic architectures that must navigate vastly different signal regimes, from isotropic noise to intricate data distributions. While scaling model capacity improves performance, deploying a massive network uniformly across the entire generative timeline is inherently inefficient. In this work, we propose Complexity-Balanced Splitting (CBS), a principled framework for temporal capacity allocation that distributes the generative workload across multiple specialized sub-networks. Grounded in function approximation theory and de Boor's equidistribution principle, CBS partitions the diffusion timeline into segments of equal approximation burden, allocating more representational capacity to regions where the generative dynamics are more difficult to model. To estimate this local complexity, we introduce two complementary and tractable monitor functions: a spatial measure based on the flow's Dirichlet energy, and a geometric measure based

OmniRetrieval: 이기종 지식 소스를 아우르는 통합 검색

Real-world information needs require access to structurally diverse knowledge sources, from unstructured text and relational tables to knowledge graphs and property graphs. Existing retrievers, however, operate over one source at a time under a fixed query language, leaving the broader landscape of available knowledge fragmented behind incompatible interfaces. A natural attempt at unification would collapse these sources into a shared space, but this erases the structural affordances (such as schemas, ontologies, compositional operators) that give each source its expressive power. Effective retrieval over diverse knowledge, therefore, requires not homogenization but an overarching layer that meets each source on its own terms. To achieve this, we present OmniRetrieval, a framework that takes any natural-language query, identifies appropriate knowledge sources, and dispatches source-native queries to their native execution engines. Across an extensive benchmark spanning 13 datasets and

Target Policy Optimization

In RL, given a prompt, we sample a group of completions from a model and score them. Two questions follow: which completions should gain probability mass, and how should the parameters move to realize that change? Standard policy-gradient methods answer both at once, so the update can overshoot or undershoot depending on the learning rate, clipping, and other optimizer choices. We introduce Target Policy Optimization (TPO), which separates the two questions. Given scored completions, TPO constructs a target distribution q_i propto p_i^{,old} exp(u_i) and fits the policy to it by cross-entropy. The loss gradient on sampled-completion logits is p^θ- q, which vanishes once the policy matches the target. On tabular bandits, transformer sequence tasks, and billion-parameter LLM RLVR, TPO matches PG, PPO, GRPO, and DG on easy tasks and substantially outperforms them under sparse reward. Code is available at https://github.com/JeanKaddour/tpo.

LLaDA-UI: Vision-Language GUI 에이전트에 블록 단위 확산 적용

Diffusion large language models (dLLMs) achieve high decoding efficiency through block-parallel, arbitrary-order generation, making them attractive for latency-sensitive applications. GUI agents represent a natural testbed for this paradigm, as they must repeatedly perceive screen states and emit structured, spatially grounded actions in real time. However, whether dLLMs can be extended into capable multimodal GUI agents while preserving their parallel decoding advantage remains an open question. We present LLaDA-UI, a 16.7B-parameter MoE-based, block-wise diffusion vision-language GUI agent. LLaDA-UI follows a two-stage training pipeline: general multimodal pre-training aligns a native-resolution vision encoder with the LLaDA2.0-mini-base diffusion language backbone, followed by GUI-agent supervised fine-tuning on diverse mobile, desktop, web, and grounding data. Across widely adopted grounding benchmarks and navigation benchmarks spanning multiple platforms, LLaDA-UI substantially ou

GUI agents execute long-horizon tasks on dynamic graphical user interfaces, where pop-ups, delayed loads, and relocated widgets routinely invalidate plans fixed before execution. Recent agent-skill frameworks encapsulate reusable procedural knowledge to mitigate this, yet existing skill designs are largely developed without targeting GUI execution dynamics and treat skills as static artifacts produced before deployment rather than living procedural knowledge that improves through it. We argue that what GUI agents need is not better static skills, but skills that can be revised from execution feedback at deployment time, without additional training. We propose EvoSkill-GUI, a training-free framework in which each skill is a structured multi-file package containing retrieval metadata, executable plans, backup localization, failure-recovery rules, accessibility utilities, and failure cases. Spatial intelligence requires more than describing object locations. Under incomplete observation, models must identify and acquire missing evidence, interpret it in a common spatial frame, and act on it. We introduce VA-Bench to evaluate the complete observe-reason-act-revise loop. General-purpose MLLMs learn procedural context from RGB-only demonstrations, actively select camera viewpoints, issue metric Cartesian commands, and revise them from execution feedback. Models receive no privileged object poses, oracle trajectories, or learned action heads. A fixed model-agnostic controller executes only model-specified targets. VA-Bench contains 14 base task families (11 single-arm and three dual-arm), seven held-out geometry/layout variants, and a long-horizon five-object composition track. We evaluate 12 primary model conditions in three independent runs over the same 20 physically verified seeds per base task, reporting terminal success, nine trajectory-level behavioral diagnostics, and

정규화된 LoRA

While low-rank adaptation (LoRA) is widely used for parameter-efficient model adaptation, how to regularize its training dynamics for stable and effective optimization remains underexplored. Because LoRA initializes the up-projection to zero, its early optimization dynamics are largely governed by the down-projection. Building on this observation, we introduce Normalized Low-Rank Adaptation (NoRA), a simple yet effective method that normalizes the down-projection matrices during training. We further show that the same normalization can be applied only at initialization, improving standard LoRA without requiring repeated normalization throughout training. Across pretraining, supervised finetuning, and reinforcement learning, NoRA consistently accelerates convergence, improves performance and training stability, and mitigates catastrophic forgetting. These benefits require neither additional trainable parameters nor inference-time computation, making NoRA a simple and broadly applicable

Executable programs offer explicit control over how images and videos are constructed, but generating runnable code is only the beginning of visual creation. A program can execute correctly while violating the requested composition, appearance, or motion. We define this discrepancy as the Program-to-Visual (P2V) gap and introduce MaLiang-Harness, a unified framework for organizing MLLM-driven visual generation into a persistent process of construction, inspection, and revision. Its central design is to make the evolving visual program, its construction history, and its verification share a common revision reference. We define the Persistent Executable Generation (PEG) state as preserving programs and task context. Traceable Generation Process (TGP) connects edits to rendered evidence, and Revision-aware Editing and Verification (REV) supports restoration and checks the current revision before completion. Together, these mechanisms coordinate planning, execution, and visual feedback acr

Ensuring factuality remains a critical challenge for deploying LLMs in high-stakes settings. Existing hallucination detectors usually operate at a single level: claim-level methods provide interpretable factual units, while span-level methods localize unsupported text. Bridging these views is costly, as LLM-heavy pipelines require multiple decomposition and verification calls, and modular systems need additional claim-to-span alignment. We propose Enoki, an Open Information Extraction framework for multi-level hallucination detection. Enoki extracts text-anchored relational facts, verifies them against evidence, and projects unsupported facts back to hallucinated spans. This shared representation enables claim-level verification and span-level localization without requiring separate alignment. Enoki supports LLM-based, encoder-based, and rule-based extraction regimes, balancing accuracy and inference cost through a common interface. Experiments show that Enoki remains competitive with

3D editing methods are usually tested on a single edit, yet an asset is built through a long sequence of revisions, each of which must implement the requested change while leaving everything else unchanged. We introduce EditHero, to our knowledge the first benchmark for long-horizon, part-level 3D editing, with natural-language instructions and target images for both geometry and texture. A deterministic assembly engine produces the exact target after every edit, and every sequence is reviewed by hand. We use EditHero to compare 2 opposite approaches to 3D editing. Non-agentic methods operate top down, regenerating the object from a learned 3D representation and inferring what to keep. In contrast, LLM/VLM agents operate bottom up, editing through code that inspects the mesh and rewrites only the parts required by instructions. The non-agentic methods often miss the requested change and disturb regions that should stay fixed. Most LLMs follow instructions more closely, and all of them

지속 학습을 위한 Fast Weight Attention

Recurrent fast-weight memories and selective state-space models compress an expanding context into a fixed-size recurrent state, making the state transition an online learning rule. We study this rule under read-after-write autoregressive semantics. For the prefix-prediction objective considered here, the local fast-memory example revealed at step t is the prefix-aligned pair (x_t,y_t)=(ϕ(k_{t-1}),v_t). The common same-step association (ϕ(k_t),v_t) remains causal, but optimizes a different internal objective. We derive normalized first-order updates for squared-error regression and negative inner-product objectives. The regression family comprises Falcon-1 (a scalar NLMS update), Falcon-2 (its per-column extension), and Falcon-3 (a sliding-window mini-batch update); Falcon-1A/Falcon-2A/Falcon-3A are the corresponding inner-product variants. Massively parallel simulation changes the data regime in which off-policy reinforcement learning (RL) is trained, challenging stabilizers designed for data-limited replay. Through controlled experiments across eight benchmark families, we show that these stabilizers are data-regime-dependent: parameter normalization helps with narrow replay coverage but restricts value fitting when data are abundant, while clipped double-Q can be relaxed in high-throughput manipulation. Age-biased replay weighting improves learning efficiency across regimes, especially with limited network capacity. Based on these findings, we propose WarpSAC, a regime-aware family of off-policy RL algorithms. WarpSAC uses Sample Weight Decay for efficient exploitation and provides two variants: WarpSAC-L (Norm ON, clipped double-Q) for data-limited CPU-scale training, and WarpSAC-A (Norm OFF, single-Q) for data-abundant GPU-parallel training. WarpSAC improves normalized score--step AUC over FlashSAC by 4.5% across n

Intelligent systems that act in the world require image understanding that is both comprehensive and spatially grounded. Current vision-language models (VLMs) can generate fluent and detailed image captions, but reliably associating them with image pixels remains challenging. Existing methods that combine dense captioning with pixel-level grounding often produce either incomplete descriptions or inaccurate segmentation masks. We study this problem through panoptic grounded captioning, a task that requires a VLM to describe both foreground objects and background regions while grounding each referring phrase with pixel-level masks. We make three contributions. First, we introduce PanoCaps, a human-annotated benchmark constructed from panoptic segmentation datasets. It provides dense captions with near-complete pixel coverage and image-text alignments at the entity level, supporting both training and evaluation. We further propose a phrase-mask matching protocol and a generalized Panoptic

Reference-based image quality assessment (IQA) metrics aim to reflect how humans perceive the perceptual distance between a pair of images. To learn how the human visual system (HVS) operates, recent reference-based IQA metrics heavily rely on human-annotated data. Mean opinion score (MOS)-based pointwise scoring, which assigns a scalar quality value per image, is preferable for annotation but is prohibitively expensive to collect at scale and is known to be noisy due to inconsistent human judgments. As an alternative, two-alternative forced choice (2AFC) pairwise labels have gained popularity due to their reliability and efficiency, but they capture only relative comparisons between pairs. In this paper, we propose a fully automated data generation pipeline that generates pointwise perceptual distance labels between image pairs without any human annotation. Our approach exploits the generative dynamics of diffusion models as a perceptual distance proxy, where the coarse structure of a

AI-generated content, often called AI slop, is increasingly common everywhere, particularly in academia. Slop in AI-generated scientific papers, however, has more complex patterns that cannot be easily detected by existing token-based AI detectors. Each part of such a paper looks plausible while the scientific reasoning that connects the parts breaks down, which can mislead how readers assess the work. We benchmark these failures as scientific slop through six measures across Structure, Argument, and Artifacts. We construct SciSlopBench with 390 AI-generated papers, mostly in computer science but spanning the life, social, and natural sciences, each paired with a human-written paper matched by research problem and contribution type. Our measures identify the AI paper in each pair with 85.9% accuracy, compared with 68.7% for Binoculars. Higher scientific slop accompanies lower ICLR ratings and distinguishes rejected from accepted papers above chance in every year from 2017 to 2025. Redu

We present Multimodal Flow, a fully continuous generative model of language and vision. Most unified multimodal models either model both language and quantized images as discrete tokens or combine discrete language prediction with continuous image generation. The former introduces a visual quantization bottleneck. The latter requires modality-dependent objectives and sampling procedures. Fully continuous modeling avoids these trade-offs and enables a shared generative process, but remains underexplored for multimodal pretraining. Multimodal Flow introduces a unified continuous architecture that integrates multimodal continuous representations with a shared chunk-causal flow backbone. It organizes text blocks and images as ordered continuous hyperchunks, preserving textual token order and visual spatial structure. Training a model to generate visual content can encourage it to learn rich perceptual capabilities related to geometry, spatial relationships, and objectness; yet, its benefits for visual understanding remain unclear. We ask: when and how does visual generation supervision improve visual understanding? We study controlled pairs of image-to-image (I2I) generation and image-to-text (I2T) understanding tasks that express the same underlying problem in different output modalities. We find that under the correct recipe, I2I training improves downstream I2T performance, with larger gains as the amount of I2I training data increases. We next ask which generation tasks benefit which understanding capabilities. To study transfer beyond paired tasks, we introduce OmniTaskonomy, a unified taxonomy spanning 19 I2I generation tasks and 25 I2T understanding capabilities. The resulting transfer map reveals selective, task-dependent benefits. Some follow intuitive correspondences, e.g., depth predicti

Causal Foundation Models

Causal Foundation Models

Causal inference is the practice of estimating the effect of a treatment or intervention from data. It traditionally requires a bespoke pipeline for every new problem: first proposing a causal mechanism, selecting a compatible estimator, and finally training it. Meanwhile, across diverse settings and modalities, much of machine learning has shifted to the paradigm of foundation models: networks pretrained once at scale and applied to new tasks without fine-tuning. Causal foundation models (CFMs) bring this paradigm to causal inference. CFMs are pretrained neural networks that estimate causal quantities, such as the average treatment effect, on entirely new datasets using in-context learning without requiring model updates. This work provides a practical introduction to this emerging area. We summarize the necessary background in causal inference and machine learning before discussing CFMs. Throughout, we include example code and Jupyter notebooks.

Human hand-object interactions (HOIs) provide a rich source of demonstrations for dexterous manipulation, but learning directly from them presents challenges in bridging morphology gaps, ensuring dynamical feasibility, and sim-to-real deployment. We present Morphometric Imitation, a three-stage framework that transforms reconstructed HOIs into zero-shot sim-to-real visuomotor policies. First, morphometric optimization (MMO) kinematically retargets human motion across hand morphologies while preserving demonstrated contacts. Second, residual reinforcement learning (RL) refines the kinematic reference using object pose and contact information from the human motion to produce dynamically feasible robot demonstrations. Third, these demonstrations are distilled into visuomotor policies. Across three robot hands and ten HOIs, MMO improves contact F1 over the strongest of five baselines by at least 8 points for every hand, while also improving the success rate of downstream dynamic retargetin

Reinforcement learning can turn one language model into several specialists, each excellent at a single skill such as mathematics, coding or following instructions, but users need one model with all of these skills. Multi-teacher on-policy distillation (MOPD) merges them by letting the specialists teach one student: the student answers each prompt, and the specialist for that prompt's domain gives feedback on every token. This routing decides which specialist teaches, but not how strongly its feedback moves the shared student. In Qwen3.5 models at three sizes, we find that MOPD's student does not beat one taught by the best single specialist and gains little of the mathematics specialist's advantage. The feedback is unbalanced: instruction-following feedback is several times more spread out than mathematics feedback and dominates the student's updates. We propose Domain-Normalized MOPD (DN-MOPD), which keeps the routing and rescales each domain's feedback by its measured spread. On six

We introduce a post-training method for diffusion language models (DLMs) that minimizes Maximum Mean Discrepancy (MMD) between generated and reference distributions in the feature space of a frozen pretrained DLM. To estimate MMD, we retain contextual features at individual token positions, obtaining multiple observations per sequence from a single extractor pass. We optimize this objective using policy gradients for discrete models and direct differentiation through generated latents for continuous models. In both cases, computing the loss directly from these features enables efficient post-training without full sampling trajectories or jointly trained auxiliary models. Experiments show lower generative perplexity at comparable entropy on OpenWebText and better accuracy-computation trade-offs on GSM8K. Meta-learning In-Context Enables Training-Free Cross Subject Brain Decoding

Visual decoding from brain signals is a key challenge at the intersection of computer vision and neuroscience, requiring methods that bridge neural representations and computational models of vision. A field-wide goal is to achieve generalizable, cross-subject models. A major obstacle towards this goal is the substantial variability in neural representations across individuals, which has so far required training bespoke models or fine-tuning separately for each subject. To address this challenge, we introduce a meta-optimized approach for semantic visual decoding from fMRI that generalizes to novel subjects without any fine-tuning. By simply conditioning on a small set of image-brain activation examples from the new individual, our model rapidly infers their unique neural encoding patterns to facilitate robust and efficient visual decoding. Our approach is explicitly optimized for in-context learning of the new subject's encoding model and performs decoding by hierarchical inference, i
