EVOKE: 전이 가능한 의사결정을 위한 에이전트 세계지식 이끌어내기

Large language models (LLMs) are increasingly deployed as agents for multi-step decision-making, yet transfer poorly to unseen environments. World-model methods address this by training agents to predict future observations, at the cost of additional training and errors that compound when predictions are used for planning. However, for LLM agents operating in digital environments, much of this world knowledge is already internalized during pretraining, which shifts the problem from acquiring it to eliciting it. We argue that typical post-training provides little pressure for such elicitation, since supervision under a single goal at each visited state inadvertently drives policies to rely on superficial contextual habits. We introduce EVOKE, a post-training method that supplies this pressure through goal diversity at fixed states. Motivated by theory showing that an agent competent across diverse goals must encode a world model recoverable from its action preferences, EVOKE holds the e

PLC-DPO: 노이즈·모호성 선호 최적화에서의 사후 라벨 보정

Direct Preference Optimization (DPO) simplifies alignment through pairwise comparisons but assumes all observed preferences are reliable. Real data often violates this assumption, leading to reversed, weak, or ambiguous labels that cause harmful policy updates. To address this, we propose Posterior Label Correction DPO (PLC-DPO) to robustly optimize preferences by routing each pair's training signal as a clean, flip, or tie case. The key idea is to use the calibrated policy-reference margin as online evidence to take appropriate correction actions. This reframes noisy preference learning as actively correcting supervision direction and strength rather than merely filtering suspicious examples. Across 57 dataset-model-benchmark cells, PLC-DPO obtains the best mean win rate against DPO (60.5 vs. 55.5 for the next-best method). Injected-noise and tie stress tests, human disagreement analysis, and self-confirmation diagnostics further show that the routing remains stable and distinguishes

GRNEdit: 생성 정제 네트워크의 새로운 이진 증거 관점으로 푼 효율적 범용 비디오 편집

Instruction-based general video editing seeks to unify diverse editing operations within a single, intuitive interface. Existing approaches often rely on resource-intensive conditioning, using either heavyweight branches or costly source concatenation. Is there any efficient way to model editing intent? Thus, we introduce GRNEdit, a lightweight two-stage framework. GRN inspires our approach by encoding visual semantics through combinations of bits. Through task-specific fine-tuning, we take this representation further and recast editing semantics as local retain-or-flip decisions over individual bits. Source information is consequently modeled as coordinate-wise evidence supporting the observed binary states, while the GRN backbone remains responsible for resolving their global composition into coherent generative semantics. In Stage I, a compact encoder translates discrete source codes into continuous evidence signals, which GRN assimilates throughout binary refinement. Inspired by nu

StreamOPD: 시공간 단서 게이팅을 활용한 스트리밍 비디오 이해용 후처리 학습 레시피

Streaming video understanding demands direct responses from the causally observed prefix of an unfolding video. Existing systems add inference-time memory, retrieval, and compression, yet a training-free sliding-window baseline already matches them. We therefore fix a memory-free recent-window protocol and ask how far post-training alone can go. Reinforcement learning with verifiable rewards fits this regime poorly, encouraging long ``think-then-answer'' generations, while on-policy distillation (OPD) supplies dense token-level teacher supervision on student trajectories but is stable only when both models train in thinking mode. These observations lead to StreamOPD, a recipe combining verifiable streaming-video data, thinking-mode OPD, and instruct-mode deployment. It raises StreamingBench from 77.9% to 83.9%---within 0.3 points of the 9B teacher---and improves OVO-Bench excluding its hallucination-detection subtask (HLD) by 9.1 points under unchanged inference. 장편 멀티샷 비디오 생성을 위한 Multi-Grid 사후학습

Generating long-form multi-shot videos requires coherent within-shot motion and visually consistent narratives across shots. Existing video generators favor continuous motion and struggle to present complete shot sets when an entire narrative is packed along one temporal axis. We propose MovieGrid, a Multi-Grid Post-Training paradigm that decomposes a long video into shorter, temporally ordered chunks and arranges them on a spatial grid for joint modeling. This design reduces the number of shots handled by each temporal axis while enabling global information exchange across chunks. We construct the Multi-Grid Long Video (MGLV) dataset from 1,000 long-form videos using source video collection, hierarchical segmentation, grid video construction, and character-aware story annotation, producing 54K grid videos paired with story prompts. Our Noise-Free Random-Grid Training retains a random subset of chunks as clean visual context for denoising the remaining chunks. Grid Embedding encodes gr

Multilingual GSM-Symbolic, 언어 간 역량 전이를 결정하는 것은?

We understand little about how capabilities acquired in one language carry over to another, or what governs this transfer: evaluations rely on incomparable, saturation-prone datasets and rarely examine its determinants jointly. Identifying what predicts transfer would let us avoid exhaustive evaluation across all language pairs and let developers target the factors that limit performance in low-resource languages. To evaluate cross-lingual capability transfer, we introduce Multilingual GSM-Symbolic, an extensible multilingual mathematical dataset covering 30,000 item-matched question-answer pairs and spanning 15 languages. It utilises symbolic templates to prevent overfitting and ensure generalisation by allowing generation of millions of high-quality variations from a single sample. Using Multilingual GSM-Symbolic, we quantify the largest determinants of capability as model size (β= 1.77), language resource level (β= 0.77), reasoning (β= 0.67) and typological distance (β= -0.25). Generating a high-quality gaming world from a natural-language game intent requires joint reasoning about scene structure, spatial layout, gameplay objectives, interactive entities, and executable gameplay logic. Existing coding agents can generate individual assets, scenes, or scripts, but often struggle to maintain consistency across these components. We propose Code2Games, an agentic framework that builds a structured gaming world upon a base Blender world generated from the same game intent. Code2Games coordinates scene analysis, gameplay planning, constrained gaming-world generation, and gaming-engine customization through a shared scene-gameplay representation with persistent element correspondence. After world generation, Code2Games adapts the generated world to Unreal Engine 5 and employs an execution-guided reconstruction process that uses compilation diagnostics, runtime feedback, and gameplay test results to resolve inconsistencies arising during engine adaptation. ALoDLM: 적응형 루프 구조의 Diffusion Language Model

Diffusion language models (DLMs) enable fast generation by predicting multiple tokens in parallel, but their practical adoption remains limited by a persistent quality gap relative to comparably sized autoregressive (AR) models. We attribute this gap to a computation-difficulty mismatch: within a partially observed sequence, some unknown tokens are easy to predict, while others require substantially more computation. Existing DLMs nevertheless apply uniform computational depth to all unknown positions at each denoising step. We introduce ALoDLM, which replaces uniform computation with token-adaptive latent recurrence. At each denoising step, ALoDLM iteratively refines latent representations and allocates computation according to token difficulty. Tokens ready to commit are fed back as discrete context, while unresolved tokens retain and further refine their latent states through additional recurrent passes. To learn token prediction and computation allocation jointly, we formulate toke

Scientific software presents a demanding test for computer-using agents based on visual language models (VLMs): completing a research workflow requires interpreting specialized interfaces, manipulating scientific objects, and producing verifiable results. We thus introduce OSWorld-Science, a benchmark and evaluation environment that combines scientifically meaningful tasks, artifact-based evaluation, and an efficient agent harness for studying computer use in the scientific domain. The benchmark contains 12 VLMs and 146 high-quality tasks across several scientific domains and software configurations, covering workflows such as molecular drawing and retrosynthesis, pathology image analysis, statistical computing, and physical simulation. MathForm, 지식 검색과 검증 기반 정제로 수학 자동 형식화 확장

Autoformalization is commonly framed as translating natural-language mathematical statements into machine-verifiable formal languages such as Lean 4. However, faithful formalization requires more than translation. Models must map mathematical concepts to the complex hierarchy of types and definitions in formal libraries such as Mathlib, while ensuring that generated statements preserve the meaning of the source propositions. Existing approaches struggle because they rely heavily on the model's parametric memory for library-specific knowledge, while common data construction pipelines often resort to filtering single-pass outputs and lack mechanisms for feedback-driven revision. To address these challenges, we introduce MathForm, an autoformalization framework for constructing verified training data through Mathlib knowledge retrieval and verification-guided iterative refinement. Before generation, a retrieval planner gathers relevant definitions and existing formalizations from Mathlib

AVA-Encoder, 에이전트 네이티브 비디오 표현 학습을 향해

Creative agents still lack an effective way to learn from high-quality human films, limiting their ability to produce cinematic-grade videos. A key challenge is the absence of a structured video representation that is both faithful to film content and directly usable for agentic reasoning and manipulation. To address the challenge, we propose the Agentic Video Auto-Encoder (AVA-Encoder), a framework for learning agent-native video representations via agentic auto-encoding. AVA-Encoder transforms a video into a knowledge graph (KG) representation and then reconstructs it back into video. Its hierarchy and state nodes store structured text, while a linked asset layer holds generated images, audio, and video. Typed edges preserve the relations between these text descriptions and assets in a form that agents can easily understand, query, and edit. The video reconstruction differences drive a textual-gradient optimization framework, which expresses evaluation feedback as natural-language

장문맥 하이브리드 모델의 메커니즘 Part 1.1: 하이브리드 어텐션에서 하이브리드 포지션으로

The architectural design of Large Language Models (LLMs) is shifting from traditional full-attention-only models to hybrid models, which combine different attention modules to improve long-context efficiency and performance in length extrapolation and context extension. To explain why hybrid models work and how to design them better, we propose Mechanics of Long-Context Hybrid Models. As Part 1.1 of this series, we begin with hybrids of full attention and either sliding-window attention (SWA) or gated variants of linear attention (LA), represented by GLA and GDN. We first observe a Seesaw Effect in Context Extension: LA hybrids benefit more from long-context continual pretraining, whereas SWA hybrids perform better under length extrapolation. We attribute this behavior to differences in the positional inductive biases induced by these attention mechanisms. We find that SWA hybrids suffer from a Short-Context Learning Trap, Short-Window Weariness, and Long-Window Laziness, and require e

온폴리시 역증류로 약한 모델에서 강한 일반화 끌어내기

Weak-to-strong generalization asks whether stronger models can learn from weaker supervisors and surpass them. This question is particularly important for successive model generations and multi-domain consolidation, where repeating frontier-scale post-training from scratch can be prohibitively expensive. Yet conventional distillation treats the weak teacher as an optimization target, potentially imposing its capacity ceiling on the student. We introduce On-Policy Reverse Distillation (OPRD), which evaluates the teacher's policy shift relative to its reference policy on student rollouts and amplifies the component of the student's verifier-driven policy gradient along that direction. By rescaling only verifier-supported updates, OPRD preserves the stationary points of policy optimization while accelerating learning beyond the teacher. In both successive model transfer and multi-teacher distillation, OPRD achieves higher performance with fewer student updates than existing RL and distill

Agent performance depends on both reasoning ability and the environment in which it acts. We study test-time AI-for-AI, asking how a Builder can learn to construct better execution environments for a Target while both models' weights remain fixed. To make the Builder's experience reusable, we introduce Meta-Skill: principles specifying when support is needed and what resources to provide. The Builder learns these principles from Target's execution feedback on the development set, then uses the frozen skill bank to construct harnesses for unseen tasks. Across Harness-Bench and NewtonBench, full-bank meta-skills improve macro-average performance by 8.95 percentage points over no-skill construction, and 12.02 points over direct delivery of the same bank to the Target. These results highlight the value of translating experience into executable support. GUI agents often encounter dynamic anomalies when deployed on Android devices, from unexpected pop-ups to action misuse, yet existing benchmarks lack systematic evaluation of agent robustness against runtime anomalies. We introduce AnTrap, a comprehensive benchmark that injects dynamic perturbations into agent execution trajectories. We propose a taxonomy organizing real-world anomalies into four layers (State, Thinking, Action and Round) with ten fine-grained subcategories, and develop a construction pipeline that preserves task solvability while introducing realistic adversarial conditions. Evaluating 16 leading GUI models, we reveal universal vulnerability to dynamic anomalies, with even the strongest models suffering significant performance degradation. Furthermore, we conduct GRPO training in both original and adversarial environments to validate our benchmark, separating environment-learnable anomalies from reasoning-bottlenecked ones. Large language models (LLMs) are increasingly used to formulate optimization models from natural-language problem descriptions, yet realistic operations research (OR) requests are often incomplete: missing objectives, constraints, or business rules can change the resulting mathematical program. Existing evaluations largely assume a complete specification and therefore overlook whether an agent knows when clarification is needed before modeling. We introduce OR-Clarify, a benchmark for pre-formulation clarification. Each task presents a partial public problem description, withholds structured hidden slots, and evaluates agents through bounded interaction with a simulated user. The benchmark supports both openended and choice-based clarification, and measures slot recovery, stopping behavior, silent assumptions, and interaction cost. We further propose Interactive Optimization (InterOPT), a two-stage framework that identifies unresolved formulation-critical gaps and uses them to guide wh

AdaTutoRank: RAG와 Deep Research를 위한 적응형 튜터링 최적화 기반 문서 재정렬 학습

Document rerankers determine what evidence reaches the downstream model in RAG and deep research, yet mainstream rerankers select by relevance matching, and individually relevant documents rarely constitute the complete, complementary, non-redundant set a complex information need demands. Prior work rewards a set by its aggregate rubric score, shifting the objective from ranking documents to composing sets. Yet that score is one scalar shared by every document in the set, so the supervision is sparse: a redundant document is rewarded with the rest whenever the set scores well, and a decisive one penalized with the rest whenever it does not; credit assignment leaves contributors indistinguishable from free riders. On-policy distillation could densify this supervision, but existing methods give every rollout the same fixed guidance, too prescriptive for strong rollouts and too abstract for weak ones. We therefore propose AdaTutoRank, a setwise reranker trained with Adaptive Tutoring Opti

Recently proposed Drifting Models shift iterative distribution refinement from inference to training, enabling effective one-step generation. However, their performance on complex image datasets depends strongly on the representation used to construct the drifting field: pixel-space drifting performs poorly, whereas pretrained feature spaces substantially improve sample quality for reasons that remain unclear. We trace this gap to the discriminative geometry of the representation, which determines sample weighting in kernel density estimation (KDE) and, consequently drift. We introduce persistent representation learning, which continuously learns a more discriminative representation geometry as the generator evolves across batches. We further establish a current-step gradient equivalence between the KDE ratio loss and drift regression loss under matched conditions, connecting density-ratio-based generator optimization to empirical drifting and motivating direct control of the drifting

Vision encoders are a critical component of vision-language models, and scaling their capacity effectively improves performance. However, dense scaling increases compute cost and inference latency. Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) architectures offer a compelling alternative, having enabled efficient scaling in LLMs, yet the MoE design space for CLIP-style vision encoders remains underexplored at State-of-the-Art (SOTA) levels. In this work, we systematically study MoE designs for vision encoder scaling and find that fine-grained MoE topologies yield substantial gains over both dense and standard MoE counterparts. We further propose an auxiliary-loss-free balancing variant for better expert utilization, and design a specialized MoE kernel to mitigate inference latency overhead. To enhance video capabilities while preserving image knowledge, we introduce frame-level distillation paired with a novel freezing mechanism. We introduce AutoDataBench, a controlled testbed built on a conceptual framework of data intelligence spanning data diagnosis, data organization, and data construction, instantiated through three highly curated optimization tasks while holding non-data factors fixed. As corporate AI adoption continues to grow, enterprise-grade LLM agents are being deployed into sensitive contexts such as hiring, healthcare, and finance. In these contexts, compliance with rules specified in an agent's system context is a first-order legal concern. Currently, no evaluation framework systematically measures which LLM models tend to violate compliance rules, especially under pressure from a persistent user, a hurried manager, or circumstances where violation is convenient or attractive. We introduce PACT (Pressure-Applied Compliance Testing), a benchmark for rule-following under pressure in AI agents assisting employees in daily tasks across twelve regulated enterprise domains and forty-eight scenarios, each set in a realistic multi-turn conversation. 비디오 객체 중심 학습을 위한 선택적 시너지 학습

Typical video object-centric learning (VOCL) approaches employ slot-based frameworks that rely on reconstruction-driven encoder-decoder architectures, where learning is mediated by two spatial maps: attention maps from the encoder and object maps from the decoder. As these two distinct maps exhibit different properties, a recent dense alignment strategy attempted to reconcile this discrepancy by enforcing agreement across all spatio-temporal patches via contrastive learning. However, this indiscriminate alignment inadvertently propagates the inherent weaknesses of each module, such as noisy encoder predictions and blurred decoder boundaries. Moreover, computing dense similarities across all pairs incurs a computational cost quadratic in the total number of spatio-temporal patches, severely limiting scalability. Motivated by this, we propose Selective Synergistic Learning (SSync). Instead of exhaustive patch-to-patch alignment, SSync prevents error propagation by selectively distilling

SkillHarm: 자동 생성 기반 라이프사이클 인지형 스킬 공격

Agent skills occupy a privileged position in the agent workflow, as agents are expected to implicitly follow and execute them, rendering third-party skills a vulnerable attack surface. Existing studies have revealed unsafe agent behaviors induced by skill-based attacks, but they primarily evaluate poisoned skills within a single task execution and enumerate harms through ad-hoc risk lists. To bridge these gaps, we introduce SkillHarm, a benchmark of skill-based attacks across the skill-use lifecycle, paired with a systematic taxonomy of skill-relevant risks. SkillHarm evaluates two attack scenarios: Fixed-Payload Poisoning (FPP), where a fixed poisoned skill package directly compromises any task session that invokes it, and Self-Mutating Poisoning (SMP), where an initially benign execution silently mutates persistent skill content, deferring harm until a subsequent reuse. It further defines 12 risk types based on the agent workflow component targeted by the harm: data pipelines, system

아부형 응답이 유발하는 Emergent Misalignment, Alignment Gating으로 되돌린다

Prior work has shown that fine-tuning large language models on malicious or incorrect outputs in narrow domains can induce broad misalignment and harmful behavior, a phenomenon known as emergent misalignment. However, efficient methods for reversing such misalignment remain limited. In this work, we make two contributions. First, we identify sycophancy fine-tuning, i.e., training models to passively agree with users' incorrect opinions, as a previously underexplored driver of emergent misalignment, and show that it induces broad and severe misaligned behavior. Second, we propose Alignment Gating, an efficient method for reversing emergent misalignment that inserts learnable and controllable gates into the model during fine-tuning. Through fine-tuning, these gates learn to identify the internal representations responsible for unsafe responses. Thus, amplifying or suppressing these representations then exacerbates or mitigates EM, respectively. We further find that alignment gating modul

Motion-Aware Caching for Efficient Autoregressive Video Generation

Autoregressive video generation paradigms offer theoretical promise for long video synthesis, yet their practical deployment is hindered by the computational burden of sequential iterative denoising. While cache reuse strategies can accelerate generation by skipping redundant denoising steps, existing methods rely on coarse-grained chunk-level skipping that fails to capture fine-grained pixel dynamics. This oversight is critical: pixels with high motion require more denoising steps to prevent error accumulation, while static pixels tolerate aggressive skipping. We formalize this insight theoretically by linking cache errors to residual instability, and propose MotionCache, a motion-aware cache framework that exploits inter-frame differences as a lightweight proxy for pixel-level motion characteristics. MotionCache employs a coarse-to-fine strategy: an initial warm-up phase establishes semantic coherence, followed by motion-weighted cache reuse that dynamically adjusts update frequencie

EDU-CIRCUIT-HW: Evaluating Multimodal Large Language Models on Real-World University-Level STEM Student Handwritten Solutions

Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs) hold significant promise for revolutionizing traditional education and reducing teachers' workload. However, accurately interpreting unconstrained STEM student handwritten solutions with intertwined mathematical formulas, diagrams, and textual reasoning poses a significant challenge due to the lack of authentic and domain-specific benchmarks. Additionally, current evaluation paradigms predominantly rely on the outcomes of downstream tasks (e.g., auto-grading), which often probe only a subset of the recognized content, thereby failing to capture the MLLMs' understanding of complex handwritten logic as a whole. To bridge this gap, we release EDU-CIRCUIT-HW, a dataset consisting of 1,300+ authentic student handwritten solutions from a university-level STEM course. However, freezing the VFM inherently constrains its spatial reconstruction capacity, limiting fine-grained generation and image editing; in contrast, incorporating reconstruction-oriented signals via fine-tuning disrupts the pretrained semantic space and degrades generative fidelity. To address this trade-off, we propose DecQ, a simple yet effective framework for RAEs. Specifically, DecQ introduces lightweight detail-condensing queries that extract fine-grained information from intermediate VFM features through condenser modules. These queries are incorporated into the decoder to support reconstruction and are jointly generated with patch tokens during generative modeling. SplAttN: Bridging 2D and 3D with Gaussian Soft Splatting and Attention for Point Cloud Completion

Although multi-modal learning has advanced point cloud completion, the theoretical mechanisms remain unclear. Recent works attribute success to the connection between modalities, yet we identify that standard hard projection severs this connection: projecting a sparse point cloud onto the image plane yields an extremely sparse support, which hinders visual prior propagation, a failure mode we term Cross-Modal Entropy Collapse. To address this practical limitation, we propose SplAttN, which replaces hard projection with Differentiable Gaussian Splatting to produce a dense, continuous image-plane representation. By reformulating projection as continuous density estimation, SplAttN avoids collapsed sparse support, facilitates gradient flow, and improves cross-modal connection learnability. Extensive experiments show that SplAttN achieves state-of-the-art performance on PCN and ShapeNet-55/34. Crucially, we utilize the real-world KITTI benchmark as a stress test for multi-modal reliance. C
