Task-CoEvolve: 적응형 검증 태스크 선택으로 하니스 최적화 효율화

We present a novel approach to efficient LLM harness optimization through adaptive validation task selection. Harness optimization iteratively rewrites the harness code based on validation performance, enabling substantial performance gains without updating the underlying model weights. Existing approaches, however, evaluate a fixed validation set in full at every iteration, incurring substantial evaluation costs even on tasks that become less discriminative as the harness evolves. We propose Task-CoEvolve, which co-evolves the validation tasks with the harness by addressing two challenges: selecting informative tasks and estimating full-set performance from partial evaluations. Task-CoEvolve builds on the observation that tasks on which candidate harnesses disagree are more informative for distinguishing among them than tasks that are consistently solved or failed. It uses variance-weighted sampling based on past outcomes to focus evaluation on tasks near the capability frontier, with

Vinci2: 연속적인 1인칭 비디오에서 선제적 지원 제공

When should an intelligent assistant speak up without being asked? Continuous egocentric video offers rich, evolving context that enables a new form of assistance: one that is proactive rather than merely reactive. Yet existing approaches either wait passively for user queries or treat every detected event as requiring a response, without considering the user's history, current activity, or whether assistance would actually be welcome. We reframe proactive assistance as a context-dependent decision problem: the agent must not only perceive what is happening, but reason over accumulated temporal context to determine when and whether to intervene. To this end, we present Vinci2, a proactive egocentric assistance system that advances the on-device assistant Vinci from reactive response toward proactivity. On the evaluation side, we present EgoServe, the first large-scale benchmark for proactive assistance in continuous egocentric video. EgoServe comprises over 3,000 service instances orga

FlashRender: 카메라 제어 Video MeanFlow 기반 소수 스텝 생성 렌더링

We present FlashRender, a few-step generative rendering framework that retakes a source video along a target camera trajectory in seconds. We identify sampling-step-dependent camera control as a prominent manifestation of discretization error in existing multi-step generative rendering models and show that resolving this inconsistency substantially lowers denoising trajectory curvature, facilitating subsequent step distillation. To this end, we introduce Representation Transformation and Alignment (RETA), which aligns hidden source-video representations with target-video features from a frozen visual geometry model. This directly encodes the geometric transformation within the source-video stream, enabling sampling-step-consistent camera control. We then fine-tune the model with the MeanFlow objective on the lower-curvature denoising trajectory induced by RETA, allowing the model to more effectively address discretization error. Finally, we apply on-policy flow map distillation to corr

PDE-JEPA, 매개변수 PDE를 위한 잠재 동역학 예측 표현 학습

Physical trajectories contain more than snapshots of a system: they also reveal how its states evolve under governing conditions. However, representation learning for parametric partial differential equations (PDEs) has largely relied on reconstruction-based objectives that emphasize recovering observed physical fields. In this paper, we investigate predictive representation pretraining as an alternative to reconstruction-based learning. We find that predictive representations preserve rich physical information, yet this advantage alone does not ensure accurate field evolution. Based on these observations, we introduce PDE-JEPA for parametric PDE dynamics. Specifically, we first train an encoder using a masked-latent prediction to capture the underlying regularities of PDE dynamics. To explicitly adapt the pretrained representation toward a more dynamics-aligned state space, we then introduce a geometry projector that aligns latent trajectory geometry with the evolution geometry of phy

EDITBRIDGE, 초고해상도 이미지 편집의 정확성과 효율성 높인다

High-resolution image editing is increasingly demanded in professional workflows, yet existing diffusion-based models remain constrained to resolutions below 1K due to quadratic attention complexity and prohibitive memory requirements. A prevalent workaround employs a two-stage pipeline: editing at low resolution followed by independent super-resolution. However, this approach suffers from two critical issues: information divergence, where hallucinated details contradict the original high-resolution (HR) source, and texture degradation, manifesting as over-smoothed or over-sharpened artifacts. We propose EditBridge, a diffusion bridge framework for efficient ultra high-resolution editing. Unlike conventional diffusion that regenerates from noise, we formulate refinement as structured data-to-data translation from the low-resolution (LR) edited result to its HR counterpart, explicitly conditioned on the original HR source to preserve authentic details. EmoRES-TTS: 감정 음성 생성을 위한 Residual 강화 벡터 스티어링

Emotion-conditioned text-to-speech (TTS) models may fail to express the requested emotion reliably, and improving controllability by additional training is costly in both computation and emotion-labeled speech training data. We therefore study vector steering, a training-free approach that modifies the internal representations of a frozen model. CoCoEmo, a conventional vector steering method for emotion TTS, treats each emotion vector as an indivisible direction controlled by a single global strength, limiting adherence to the requested emotion. In this work, we first discover that an emotion vector can be decomposed into a shared component that moves speech away from neutral expression and a residual component that directs generation toward the requested emotion. Building on this finding, we propose Emotion Residual-Enhanced Steering for TTS (EmoRES), a novel method that controls the two components without retraining the backbone. On IEMOCAP, EmoRES outperforms CoCoEmo across all four

Harness-Zero: Agent-as-Harness로 구현한 하네스 증류

Agent harnesses, the external systems that mediate model-environment interaction, can substantially improve agent performance, but their gains remain tied to the harness at deployment. Because the best harness varies across domains, instances, and models, a general-purpose agent must either settle for a suboptimal shared harness or route among an ever-growing set of specialized ones. We therefore study agent harness distillation: using a domain- or instance-optimized harness as training-time guidance and transferring the behaviors it induces into model weights, so that its gains survive under a single fixed target harness. The challenge is that the two harnesses differ in action space and available information, so guidance from the optimized harness cannot serve directly as supervision for the target one. We introduce Harness-Zero, which enables harness distillation through agent-as-harness. Guided by the optimized harness, a harnessing agent corrects student responses before execution

TransNormal-2: 정밀한 노멀 추정을 위한 기하 기반 Rectified Flow와 엣지 인식 디코딩

Diffusion-based models enable monocular geometry estimation, yet their pixel-space precision is limited by a shared, under-studied error source: VAE reconstruction degradation. The 8x spatial compression in the VAE encoder-decoder degrades surface normals at object boundaries; even encoding and decoding ground-truth normals introduces 1.3--8.5° of mean angular error (MAE), with edge MAE reaching 2.8x the global MAE. We present TransNormal-2, a FLUX.2-based rectified-flow framework with single-step deterministic inference that addresses this degradation on both sides of the VAE decoder: in how latent predictions are supervised during training, and in how decoded normals are corrected at inference. First, geometry-aware pixel-space losses, including inverse rendering self-consistency, von~Mises-Fisher angular loss, and wavelet edge-aware regularization, complement latent MSE by enforcing spherical normal geometry and diffuse image-formation cues after VAE decoding. Refinement Is Inherently Editable: Generative Refinement Network를 활용한 학습 없는 프롬프트-투-프롬프트 이미지 편집

Text-guided image editing must introduce the requested changes while preserving unrelated source content. Diffusion-based editors rely on spatial controls whose inaccuracies can leave edits incomplete or alter unrelated regions. Causal autoregressive editors face a further constraint: their fixed decoding order limits revision of earlier decisions. We introduce RefineEdit, a training-free prompt-to-prompt image editing framework built on a Generative Refinement Network. Our key idea is to couple edit localization with content generation through the global refinement of binary image codes, allowing editing evidence to be reassessed as the image evolves. RefineEdit initializes an editing branch from an intermediate source state, reusing the emerging layout. We compare the probabilities assigned by the two branches to the same source-sampled bits, using their signed differences to select editable positions and bits. Selected bits follow editing refinement, while the remaining bits copy th

Reducing audio-encoder depth lowers the inference cost of speech large language models, but removing complete blocks perturbs the embeddings consumed by the decoder and can cause deletion and premature end-of-sequence errors. We introduce X-AuT, a progressive framework that selects layer combinations through short behavioral probes and restores the pruned model through representation alignment, cross-scale distillation, scheduled student-policy supervision, and LoRA finetuning. The language-model backbone remains frozen, while attention LoRA adapters and the tied output embedding adapt during distillation. Training uses the highest-agreement tier from a transcript-consistency pipeline, followed by source reweighting during finetuning. On ten public Chinese--English benchmarks, compressing Qwen3-ASR-0.6B from 18 to 16 audio-encoder layers reduces macro-average error from 5.61% to 5.27%. The 14-layer model reaches 5.75% with 20.7% fewer audio-tower parameters. Under the matched recipe, t

장기적 LLM 에이전트 상호작용에서 나타난 창발적 담합

LLM agents are increasingly deployed in collaborative settings, yet long-term interaction may give rise to undesirable coordination. We study the emergence of collusion in a long-horizon multi-agent environment: two agents repeatedly complete individual tasks, share task logs, verify each other's work, and receive rewards. We introduce realistic constraints that make compliance with the verification protocol incompatible with reward maximization, and find that agents increasingly deviate from the protocol over repeated interactions. Collusion emerges in 94% of trajectories across 10 models, and more capable models within the same family reach it earlier. Controlled peer interventions show that collusion is shaped by peer behavior, while ablations reveal additional effects of reward structure, the verification feedback agents receive, and their interaction history. In particular, restricting the amount and scope of interaction history available to agents reduces collusion. Overall, our

Autonomous research loops such as AutoResearch show that one coding agent can improve a training setup unattended. Run several of them and each session starts from scratch, so more agents tend to mean more duplicated search rather than more discovery. Agora is a shared memory for such agents: research is recorded as an append-only directed acyclic graph (DAG) stored in Git, so that every claim is a commit anyone can check out and rerun. Each result, insight, hypothesis, verification, and report is an immutable commit whose parent edges say what it builds on; a derived index exposes the frontier, the neglected branches, and the verification status of each claim, and a diversity-aware selection rule keeps the community from collapsing onto one leader. We describe the system and report its first sustained use: a run of nearly 12 days in which 13 language-model workers, with no assigned tasks and no central planner, worked on a weight-transfer problem. Multimodal agents commonly generate free-form reasoning before each action. For small models, limited model capacity can result in lengthy reasoning that provides little useful guidance for action generation while incurring substantial inference cost. To address this challenge, we introduce Selection-based Structured Reasoning (SSR), a framework that reformulates reasoning as selection instead of open-ended generation. SSR represents recurring high-level reasoning as pre-specified, reusable natural-language candidates. At each turn, the model selects from these reasoning candidates based on their likelihoods given the current context, without requiring an auxiliary task head. Using pre-specified reasoning traces enables parallel scoring, where teacher-forced prefilling computes token likelihoods concurrently within and across candidates using a shared context KV cache. We evaluate SSR on seven multimodal search benchmarks using 2B and 4B models. Across multiple reinforcement learning o

Grounded Action Model: 3D 그라운딩을 로보틱스의 기반으로

Manipulation policies must know which objects matter and where they are, yet the pretrained backbones that current robot foundation models build on, from language in vision-language-action models (VLAs) to video generation in world-action models (WAMs), do not directly require this metric grounding, leaving it to be learned implicitly from robot demonstrations. We propose Grounded Action Models (GAMs), a new paradigm of robot foundation models built with 3D grounding. GAM can be conditioned using language, points, or box prompts, which are first transformed into a shared object-centric representation of the selected objects. This representation captures target-focused visual features and metric object geometry, which is mixed with robot state history through a multi-stream transformer to predict action chunks. Although GAMs can be run autonomously, they can also serve as a low-level controller that a high-level planner controls using its various input modalities, allowing for long-hori

Large language models are increasingly deployed through agent harnesses that manage tools, extensions, persistent state, permissions, and external actions. Existing safety benchmarks mainly target individual attack mechanisms or a limited subset of operational settings, making it difficult to compare how safety failures emerge across different harness responsibilities. We present HarnessRisk, a lifecycle oriented benchmark that organizes agent harness safety into six operational phases including Harness Configuration, Capability Extension, Runtime Operation, State Persistence, Action Control, and Incident Recovery. HarnessRisk contains 128 sandboxed cases, each pairing a benign user objective with an adversarial instruction embedded in an untrusted workflow artifact. We evaluate each trajectory using Utility, Attack Success Rate, Persistence, and Detection. 온폴리시 컨텍스트 증류로 에이전트 경험을 Diffusion 모델 가중치에 내재화하기

Wrapping an image generation model in an agentic harness can effectively boost Text-to-Image task performance: the harness can leverage memory, skills, workflow orchestration, result verification, and iterative refinement to continually construct and revise prompts, thereby eliciting better images. These gains, however, remain external to the diffusion model and are realized only while the full harness runs. We propose Diffusion On-Policy Context Distillation (D-OPCD), which treats the agent-improved prompt as privileged context and distills the knowledge encoded in the agent harness into the weights of the diffusion model, so that the model retains part of the harness's benefit when conditioned on the original query alone. Using a Text-to-Image agent equipped with our proposed Auto Skill Evolver (ASE), we show that D-OPCD can internalize harness capabilities into the generator's weights, raising the average direct-generation score from 60.52 to 65.09 across four benchmarks. Sparse-view novel view synthesis is a central problem in 3D content creation, but diffusion-based approaches remain limited by iterative denoising, making multi-view generation expensive at inference time. We introduce NAMVIS, a diffusion-free framework that reformulates multi-view image synthesis as geometry-conditioned next-scale autoregression. Instead of generating target views through repeated denoising, NAMVIS predicts discrete visual tokens through a small number of coarse-to-fine scale steps, while sampling all tokens within each scale and across target views in parallel. To anchor this generation process to explicit camera geometry, we propose Multi-scale Projective Pose Encoding, which injects source and target camera transformations into both target-view self-attention and source-to-target cross-attention at every resolution. NAMVIS further combines global conditioning with dense geometry-aware cross-attention, enabling the model to preserve source-view appearance while main

Existing spatial reasoning benchmarks mainly test spatial perception: reading off relations already visible in the input. Yet real-world spatial intelligence demands predictive spatial reasoning: constructing a scene from observations, anticipating how an intervention changes it, and reasoning about the unseen outcome. We introduce SpaceCast-Bench, the first benchmark to directly and diagnostically evaluate this capability. Built around an observe-transform-infer framework, its 3,862 questions from 182 real-world scenes span 16 task types at three levels: static perception, local prediction, and global prediction, progressively requiring scene understanding, spatial state updating, and relational inference over unobserved outcomes. Evaluating 21 models exposes a stark gap: the strongest model reaches only 58.0% against 87.2% human performance, while spatially specialized models remain near random chance. MJev-Spatial: 네이티브 어텐션 매칭 기반 System One 공간 지능

Spatial intelligence lets an agent perceive and act in the physical world, and many of its judgments must be made at interaction rates: which spatial relation holds, how far an object is, or where to place it. Vision-language models (VLMs) produce these answers by free-form text generation, paying for autoregressive decoding and answer parsing even though the output space is compact: one of a few options, a scalar, or a 2D point. In light of this, we introduce MJev-Spatial, a System 1 multimodal decision model that tackles all three types of spatial understanding tasks within a unified classification framework. Specifically, MJev-Spatial treats each candidate as a class and scores it using the backbone's pretrained query and key projections, without adding parameters. The candidates are the given options for choice tasks, or value bins and image regions refined through coarse-to-fine classification for numerical and point prediction, respectively. Elephant in the Fridge: 장문 비디오 이해를 위한 상수 메모리 프레임 패킹

Hour-long videos, streaming feeds, and movie-length content are pushing vision-language models (VLMs) past their breaking point -- the standard recipe of encoding each frame into visual tokens yields sequences that grow linearly with video length, causing prohibitive memory consumption and inference latency. Existing approaches, such as token reduction and keyframe selection, shorten the token sequence but leave the O(n) scaling intact, failing to resolve the fundamental bottleneck. We propose FramePack-U, a strikingly simple, training-free frame packing framework that compresses arbitrarily long videos into a fixed size visual representation at constant memory cost. FramePack-U requires no fine-tuning or architectural modification -- it plugs directly into off-the-shelf VLMs at inference time. Inspired by FramePack from the generation literature, we propose a content-aware compression strategy for visual understanding under a fixed token budget. Specifically, FramePack-U (1) scores ea

Reward modeling often requires jointly representing and reasoning over multiple evaluation criteria, yet verbalizing this process token by token can incur substantial inference cost. Recent work on latent reasoning suggests that continuous states may support this computation more compactly. We introduce LatentGRM, a latent evaluation framework built on semantic chunking, compression, and reconstruction. By using the structure of rubric-guided evaluations to guide compression, LatentGRM learns compact continuous trajectories that support autonomous pairwise judgments without generating textual assessments. A separate interpreter reconstructs evaluation text from these trajectories, providing an offline view of the information retained under compression. Under matched training data and backbones, LatentGRM achieves competitive aggregate preference accuracy relative to explicit Supervised Fine-Tuning (SFT) judges at both 4B and 8B scales. Existing memory mechanisms typically compress, retrieve, or cache historical observations and reintroduce them into the input context, forcing historical memory and current observations to compete for limited context. We propose MaLoW, a streaming memory framework that instead internalizes historical context into evolving lightweight parameter updates. MaLoW uses a recurrent HyperNetwork to incrementally consolidate incoming video observations into fixed-size LoRA weights, allowing historical information to be carried forward without revisiting the full video stream. On-policy distillation (OPD) has become an important approach to language model post-training. However, despite its performance gains, OPD can also collapse into excessively long and repetitive generation, and the mechanism underlying these divergent outcomes remains poorly understood. We explain these outcomes through a reinforcement learning perspective: the teacher implicitly rewards student behaviors, even those it rarely exhibits itself. From this perspective, our experiments show that OPD improves performance without expanding the student's capabilities. When the implicit reward model is reliable, OPD makes correct responses easier to sample. In contrast, when the preference misaligns with quality, reward hacking happens: the implicit reward model amplifies overlong, repetitive student rollouts, even though it rarely generates such text itself. Guided by this diagnosis, we find that masking unhealthy responses during training and using SFT initialization can each effectively miti

World Action Models (WAMs) use generative visual representations to condition robot actions, yet how these representations organize action-relevant information remains poorly understood. We identify persistent high-norm spatial outliers in WAM representations and find that their action relevance persists even after normalization and K/V projection attenuate their extreme magnitude. Motivated by this observation, we introduce RegisterWAM, which adds learnable non-spatial registers to the world model and uses them directly for action conditioning. Registers alone do not fully eliminate spatial outliers; pairing them with observation flow-matching (FM) loss supervision suppresses spatial outliers while concentrating high-norm responses in registers. Beyond this reorganization, observation FM loss supervision also improves action learning without registers, motivating an additional noised-observation FM objective that learns current-scene recovery from corrupted inputs. Distilling capable language-model agents into smaller models requires aligning the student's behavior with the teacher's. This raises a fundamental question: at which states and at what granularity should this alignment be performed? Offline imitation provides dense but token-specific supervision and can suffer from state-distribution mismatch. Token-level on-policy distillation (OPD) addresses this mismatch but typically requires teacher token probabilities and compatible tokenization. We argue that semantic actions provide a natural unit of supervision for agent distillation. We introduce ActionOPD, an action-level on-policy distillation method motivated by maximizing expected teacher-action likelihood at student-encountered states. At each such state, ActionOPD samples actions from both the student and a black-box teacher, rewarding student actions according to their semantic agreement with the sampled teacher actions. Large language models are informing decisions with ever-higher stakes. As the consequences of their errors grow, a central question becomes harder to ignore: how much can we trust an individual answer? Yet recognizing when to defer remains difficult because language models can present incorrect conclusions with fluent explanations and an authoritative tone. Uncertainty quantification seeks to address this disconnect by estimating the reliability of individual predictions. However, many existing methods require repeated generations or separately trained components, and their scalar estimates do not reveal where uncertainty arises or how it evolves during reasoning. Recent work has also shown that generation length can be strongly associated with uncertainty estimates and correctness, raising the question of how much of an estimator's predictive power comes from uncertainty-specific information rather than output length alone. Mechanistic interpretability offers a way to address these li

Existing agents typically use Direct Tool Calling (DTC), where the model invokes tools sequentially, and tool responses accumulate in the model context, which can lead to context rot and orchestration breakdown. In contrast, Programmatic Tool Calling (PTC) invokes tools through executable code and stores intermediate results in runtime variables rather than appending them to the context. Prior work has explored PTC mainly as an inference-time optimization, but its benefits for agentic training remain unclear, and suitable verifiable training tasks are scarce. In this work, we introduce ProgAgent, a full PTC training stack, comprising a pipeline for synthesizing verifiable long-horizon tasks, a lightweight PTC runtime, and a two-stage training recipe. Yet existing multi-agent systems often train agents within fixed orchestration structures, separating the learning of individual capabilities from the organization of collective behavior. We introduce market-based post-training (MPT), a framework for jointly learning action policies and self-orchestration in decentralized agent swarms. Agents express their willingness to participate through bids, which determine who acts and how collective outcomes provide local training credit. Learning both action and bidding behavior allows individual capabilities and patterns of participation to adapt together without a central coordinating agent. We evaluate MPT on embodied crafting, robot navigation, and deep research. Results show gains over monolithic post-training and confirm that agent participation indeed evolves with learning. Decoder-only language models entangle long-term memory and reasoning in a single parameter set, making it difficult to scale memory capacity independently. Memory Decoder introduces a parametric long-term memory module but only studies it at a relatively small scale. In this work, we present Memory Decoder at Scale, scaling memory models up to 6.9B parameters and pretraining them on 300B tokens. At this data scale, the combined cost of indexing and search makes a standard Faiss pipeline infeasible. We address this bottleneck with a distributed pipeline for Faiss indexing and retrieval, together with sparse, batch-wise loading of kNN distributions. Across model scales, we find that allocating more parameters to memory yields a better parameter-performance tradeoff than scaling the base model alone. On 17 benchmarks, pairing a 6.9B general memory with Pythia-410M raises its average score from 29.86 to 37.34, surpassing Pythia-12B (37.24) with 39% fewer total parameters. For Qwen3 Base mo
