그룹 적응형 클리핑 기반 정책 최적화

Group relative policy optimization for reinforcement learning with verifiable rewards (RLVR) typically uses a fixed importance-sampling (IS) ratio clipping boundary across all rollouts. We identify a key limitation: rare correct rollouts on harder problems and abundant correct rollouts on easier problems are clipped at comparable rates, despite contributing very different learning signals. Rollouts with low group success exhibit larger IS ratios and carry stronger gradient signal for exploration and solving new problems, yet are disproportionately suppressed by fixed clipping. To address this, we propose Group Adaptive Clipping Policy Optimization (GAPO), a plug-in modification to GRPO methods that adapts the clipping boundary to the rollout advantage. GAPO is motivated by a reverse-KL trust-region perspective, which suggests that rollouts with larger learning signal should receive proportionally greater update headroom. GAPO requires no reward shaping and preserves the standard PPO/

DAEDALUS: 자기 생성 작업으로 에이전트 메모리 부트스트래핑

LLM agents often lack the operational knowledge to act reliably in new environments, as they must discover specific tool behaviors or environment conventions on their own. Without memory of past attempts, they repeat the same mistakes across tasks, leading to more task failures and longer trajectories. To address this, agentic systems typically rely on human-written guidelines or on procedural memory built from training tasks and an oracle verifier, both of which require prior knowledge of the environment. We present DAEDALUS, a method for bootstrapping reusable agent memory from self-generated practice without existing tasks or oracle verifiers. DAEDALUS pairs two agents: an explorer that interacts with the environment to generate challenging yet solvable tasks, and a solver that attempts them. A heuristic is derived from each solver failure and accepted only after the solver repeatedly succeeds with that heuristic in context. These outcomes also provide feedback for the explorer to r

SNAP3D: 단일 이미지로 조립 가능한 물리 기반 3D 파트 생성

Part-aware 3D asset generation enables applications such as editing, articulation, simulation, and fabrication, yet existing methods can generate visually complete individual parts without ensuring that they form a valid physical assembly. Consequently, generated neighboring parts may interpenetrate, lack valid connections, or collapse under gravity. We propose a physics-guided framework for improving single-image part-aware 3D generation with physically compatible geometry and stable connections. Our method resolves inter-part penetration, recovers a contact graph between neighboring parts, and introduces parameterized connectors at their contact surfaces. Using feedback from physical simulation, we refine connector placement, orientation, and dimensions to improve assembly stability while preserving the generated geometry. We further introduce a physics-based evaluation protocol that complements conventional geometric metrics by directly testing assembly validity and stability under

LEGO-RL, 코딩 에이전트를 위한 Harness-Native 강화학습 제안

Reinforcement learning for coding agents increasingly relies on long-running agent harnesses to manage tool integration, repository contexts, and execution feedback. However, the native execution environments of these harnesses are inherently misaligned with policy-gradient training: environmental crashes and reward hacking corrupt outcome signals, while train-inference discrepancies decouple rollout behavior from policy updates. To address this, we present LEGO-RL, a framework that bridges native coding-agent harnesses with scalable policy-gradient optimization without modifying their internal control flow. LEGO-RL is built upon three pillars: (1) faithful optimization via in-process LLM proxying that captures raw generation streams for token-level alignment and robust trainer-side log-probability recomputation, even under harness-side compaction or re-serialization; (2) reliable execution via scalable sandbox orchestration featuring image caching and stage-wise defenses to mitigate r

An agent can complete a task while exhibiting undesirable behavior during execution. Developers need tests for the specific behaviors encountered in deployment, beyond fixed benchmark suites. We present TraceDance, an agent system that constructs targeted benchmarks from deployment traces for user-specified undesirable behaviors. For efficient construction, Anchor-and-Confirm combines programmable retrieval with candidate-level confirmation by a Flash large language model (LLM), while the Anchor Synthesis Loop generates and revises specifications for custom behaviors. The benchmarks use decision-point continuation to evaluate an LLM's next turn at a recorded decision point with a behavior-specific rubric, without a reference answer or environment replay. Experiments in coding and general tool use draw on 252,557 sessions and produce 107 benchmarks with 4,125 instances, fulfilling 95.3% of build-target requests. Both human annotators confirm the requested behavior in 84% of sampled inst

All-in-One medical image restoration (MedIR) aims to address diverse tasks across modalities and degradation types using a single universal model. Existing methods typically prioritize modeling inter-task heterogeneity (e.g., distinct data distributions and degradation types). However, they largely neglect the inherent homogeneity present in medical images, such as widely shared anatomical structures within and across modalities, which can be leveraged to ease model training and improve generalization. To this end, we propose UniH3, a novel framework that Unifies Hierarchical Homogeneity and Heterogeneity for all-in-one medical image restoration. Specifically, to comprehensively exploit homogeneity, we introduce a Hierarchical Homogeneity Memory (H2M) module that progressively distills intra- and inter-task homogeneity priors from high-quality images during training, and adaptively retrieves the most relevant priors tailored to the input for guided restoration. TempCloze: Video-LLM은 비디오의 빈 중간 구간을 찾아낼 수 있을까

Temporal reasoning benchmarks for Video-LLMs are often mediated by language, leaving room for linguistic shortcuts from option wording, answer correlations, or language priors. To reduce such shortcuts, we introduce TempCloze, a video cloze benchmark for evaluating visual temporal reasoning in Video-LLMs. Given the beginning and ending clips of a video, models must identify the true missing middle from four candidates. TempCloze contains 1,521 carefully filtered videos from seven sources, mainly long-take and egocentric videos. We construct same-source distractors along three dimensions: Semantic asks what event should happen, Alignment probes when it should occur, and Progression tests how it should unfold, while shared scenes and objects reduce appearance cues. Our evaluation of 10 proprietary and 21 open-source Video-LLMs reveals Alignment as the primary bottleneck: models often recognize plausible semantic content and local event progression but struggle with temporal alignment. A2Z GameSpec-Bench: 코딩 에이전트는 게임 디자인 명세대로 얼마나 충실하게 게임을 생성할까

Delegating complete application development to coding agents requires preserving the intended design rather than simply producing plausible outputs through naive prompting. Game development provides a demanding testbed, as long-form Game Design Documents (GDDs) describe requirements that must work together across game logic, visual rendering, and player interactions. However, existing game-development benchmarks typically use compact specifications and provide limited support for evaluating interdependent requirements across these aspects in long-form GDDs. We introduce A2Z GameSpec-Bench, a benchmark of 100 long-form GDDs for evaluating end-to-end game development by agents. We measure faithfulness by checking whether the game satisfies the GDD requirements and preserves the relationships among them. Each GDD is turned into a dependency-aware contract that contains rules, constraints, and prerequisite relations. Following game-development practices, we combine source-code inspection w

A robot that observes people interacting with objects should be able to carry out later requests that refer back to those interactions. Such requests may specify a grasp target by the role it played in a past event rather than by its name or appearance. Moreover, the target may no longer be visible when the robot is asked to act. We present BeyondSCe, a zero-shot robotic grasping system for this event-referential setting. Given the event history and the current scene, the system identifies the requested object or part and localizes it for grasping. If the target is occluded, it combines an event prior recovered from the history with current scene geometry to select camera viewpoints likely to reveal the target. The system uses pretrained models without additional task-specific training. In real-robot experiments with a single wrist-mounted RGB-D camera, it achieves grasp success rates of 76% and 77% for initially visible and occluded targets, respectively, compared with 40% and 55% for

Video understanding is a fundamental task for evaluating the capabilities of multimodal large language models (MLLMs). However, existing leading models have already achieved approximately 90% accuracy on the Video-MME leaderboard, suggesting that conventional single-turn video understanding tasks are becoming increasingly saturated and insufficient for assessing the intelligence of advanced MLLMs. Towards this end, we introduce VideoGAIA, an agentic video understanding benchmark for general artificial intelligence (AI) assistants. Moving beyond one-shot video question answering, VideoGAIA formulates video understanding as a multi-turn, tool-augmented interaction process, where models must iteratively perceive videos, invoke external tools, gather complementary information, and integrate multimodal evidence across turns. Recent studies suggest that video generation models can exhibit certain forms of zero-shot visual reasoning through generated frames. Yet reliable evaluation remains challenging: benchmarks should adopt inputs aligned with the visual priors of current video models, require valid evolving processes rather than only plausible final states, and calibrate task difficulty to remain challenging yet partly feasible. To this end, we introduce VGI-bench, containing 27 tasks and 810 instances, organized by a two-level taxonomy of task domains and skill tags for fine-grained evaluation of visual reasoning capabilities of video generation models. Our evaluations show that current generative systems can solve a subset of visually grounded reasoning tasks, but remain far from reliable, with even the strongest model, Seedance 2.0, achieving only 51.0% under our evaluation criteria. The rapid progress of artificial intelligence is reshaping robotics and accelerating the adoption of learning-based approaches. While purely data-driven methods have achieved remarkable success in computer vision and natural language processing, robotics remains constrained by limited data, complex real-world interactions, and the need for reliable operation. These challenges have motivated the exploration of physics-embedded robot learning, which embeds physics priors into learning algorithms. By encoding the underlying physical laws and constraints, physics priors can complement limited data with robotics-specific inductive biases, potentially improving generalization, interpretability, and sample efficiency. However, the literature on physics-embedded robot learning remains fragmented across terminology, methodologies, and application domains, making it difficult to assess this growing body of work. This survey reviews physics-embedded robot learning across a broad range of physics

We introduce 4DCodeBench, a benchmark for 4D inverse graphics through code generation, in which agents reconstruct dynamic scenes from video as executable graphics programs. To accomplish this, agents must translate visual observations into compact representations of scene structure and dynamics, by implementing abstractions such as physical simulations to reproduce complex behavior. To evaluate this capability, we curate a set of real-world videos and construct synthetic scenes spanning diverse physical phenomena, including deformation, fluid flow, and fracture. We perform extensive benchmarking of frontier models, finding that strong static reconstruction capabilities do not yet translate into reliable reconstruction of complex dynamics. 4DCodeBench provides a testbed for tracking progress toward agents that can interpret the dynamics of the world through code. Long-horizon agentic tasks go beyond chaining short tasks over more interaction turns. Their evolving dynamic environments and long-range dependencies require Large Language Models (LLMs) to continually explore, learn from experience, and adapt their policies over thousands of steps. We introduce E-Commerce Bench, the first open-source benchmark that integrates multi-round counterpart negotiation and dynamic events into a year-long business operation. Over a 365-day year, an LLM agent concurrently runs multiple online stores, researching the market, negotiating with suppliers to source inventory, optimizing sales strategies, fulfilling orders, handling returns, and managing cash flow to maximize its end-of-year total assets. To construct a realistic merchant-side operating environment, the product and supplier data are derived from a real e-commerce platform, while a year-long calendar of promotions, natural disasters, and supply-chain shocks continually reshapes demand. The growing realism and accessibility of manipulated and generated faces threaten the trustworthiness of digital media. To detect such forgeries, deepfake detectors based on vision foundation models have shown promising performance, but they typically rely on a single pretrained representation and are prone to overfitting to particular training distributions. To improve generalization to unseen forgeries, we propose UCF-Net, an uncertainty-aware cascaded fusion network that harnesses CLIP's language-aligned semantic priors and DINO's self-supervised visual-structure priors. UCF-Net extracts hierarchical features across Transformer depths, uses layer-wise expert aggregation to adaptively combine each encoder's multi-level cues, and performs weighted fusion of the resulting representations based on entropy-derived uncertainty. We further consolidate public deepfake datasets into a unified benchmark of approximately 4M images and construct a separate cross-generator evaluation set with ov

Just MLPs: 멀티모달 언어 모델을 위한 효율적 시각 상태 복원

Long visual token sequences often account for a substantial fraction of the computational overhead in multimodal large language models~(MLLMs). Existing approaches reduce this cost by pruning redundant visual tokens, but permanently discard visual evidence that may become useful in subsequent layers. We instead ask whether all visual tokens can be preserved while reducing the cost of repeatedly evolving the representations through the Transformer. To answer this question, we perform low-rank interventions on visual-to-text information flow. We find that, after visual-to-text attention is blocked, restoring only a few directions recovers most of the lost accuracy, suggesting the relevant visual influence is concentrated in a low-dimensional subspace. We further observe strong predictability in layer-specific visual states: lightweight MLPs approximate them with high cosine similarity and low reconstruction error. Motivated by these findings, we propose δ-Vision, which replaces repeated

Instruction-guided video editing has made significant progress, yet existing methods use multimodal large language models (MLLMs) primarily as semantic encoders, so they often fall short in working with implicit edits that require causal or semantic reasoning. To bridge this fundamental gap in video editing, we propose ThinkV2V, a reasoning-driven framework for complex instruction-guided video editing, explicitly activating MLLM thinking before visual generation. At its core, ThinkV2V builds on a practical MLLM-to-DiT architecture to turn explicit thinking over the source video and instruction into refined conditioning signals for video editing. Further, we equip it with a dedicated training and inference recipe, combining Progressive Curriculum Training, which gradually cultivates the model from basic editing to reasoning-intensive cases, with Inference-Time Thinking Scaling, which iteratively refines candidate prompts and selects the most reliable one, to better elicit reasoning in c

생성 사전지식 증류로 페어드 감독 없이 3D 편집 학습

Instruction-guided 3D editing is essential for interactive content creation, yet it faces a significant bottleneck: the severe scarcity of high-quality paired training data. Existing approaches attempt to bypass this by either relying on slow test-time optimization or training on pseudo-pairs constructed via complex pipelines, which often introduce structural drift and geometric artifacts. In this paper, we propose a novel framework that learns feed-forward 3D editing without paired 3D supervision via Generative Prior Distillation. Instead of relying on ground-truth 3D pairs, our core idea is to distill visual, semantic, and geometric knowledge from powerful foundation models directly into a 3D editing model. Specifically, through a differentiable rendering pipeline, we supervise the 3D representation using two complementary signals: a 2D visual prior from an image editing model at the main editing view, and a semantic prior from a Vision-Language Model at novel views to ensure strict

생각만으로는 부족할 때를 아는 법: 소형 추론 모델에 파라메트릭 지식 너머 추론 가르치기

Scaling test-time computation is a powerful way to improve language-model reasoning, and is particularly appealing for small reasoning models (sRMs) that are cheap to serve. However, is additional thinking always the right operation? By intervening at intermediate reasoning states across two model families and multiple scales, we find that self-refinement largely consolidates probability mass onto solutions already reachable from the current state, rather than making new ones reachable. These interventions reveal two failure regimes: execution bottlenecks, where the correct path is reachable and reflection can recover it, and knowledge bottlenecks, where relevant external information makes it reachable. Motivated by this distinction, we introduce FlyBy, a selective querying framework, and train 4B and 8B variants to reason first, diagnose what remains unresolved, and, at a knowledge bottleneck, query stronger models whose parametric knowledge extends beyond its own. Learning Agentic Policy from Action Guidance

Agentic reinforcement learning (RL) for Large Language Models (LLMs) critically depends on the exploration capability of the base policy, as training signals emerge only within its in-capability region. For tasks where the base policy cannot reach reward states, additional training or external guidance is needed to recover effective learning signals. Rather than relying on costly iterative supervised fine tuning (SFT), we exploit the abundant action data generated in everyday human interactions. We propose ActGuide-RL, which injects action data as plan-style reference guidance, enabling the agentic policy to overcome reachability barriers to reward states. Guided and unguided rollouts are then jointly optimized via mixed-policy training, internalizing the exploration gains back into the unguided policy. Motivated by a theoretical and empirical analysis of the benefit-risk trade-off, we adopt a minimal intervention principle that invokes guidance only as an adaptive fallback, matching t

The recent advancement of Vision Language Action (VLA) models has driven a critical demand for large scale egocentric datasets. We leverage the ubiquitous sensor suites of modern smartphones to provide high fidelity, long term camera pose tracking, effectively removing the high hardware barriers associated with traditional robotics data collection. Type-Checked Compliance: Deterministic Guardrails for Agentic Financial Systems Using Lean 4 Theorem Proving

The rapid evolution of autonomous, agentic artificial intelligence within financial services has introduced an existential architectural crisis: large language models (LLMs) are probabilistic, non-deterministic systems operating in domains that demand absolute, mathematically verifiable compliance guarantees. Existing guardrail solutions -- including NVIDIA NeMo Guardrails and Guardrails AI -- rely on probabilistic classifiers and syntactic validators that are fundamentally inadequate for enforcing complex multi-variable regulatory constraints mandated by the SEC, FINRA, and OCC. This paper presents the Lean-Agent Protocol, a formal-verification-based AI guardrail platform that leverages the Aristotle neural-symbolic model developed by Harmonic AI to auto-formalize institutional policies into Lean 4 code. Every proposed agentic action is treated as a mathematical conjecture: execution is permitted if and only if the Lean 4 kernel proves that the action satisfies pre-compiled regulatory

Trust Region Q Adjoint Matching

Trust Region Q Adjoint Matching

Off-policy reinforcement learning of pretrained flow policies remains challenging due to the instability of optimization arising from the multi-step sampling process. Recently, Q-learning with Adjoint Matching (QAM) addressed this issue by reformulating into a memoryless stochastic optimal control (SOC) problem with a learned critic. However, QAM inherits a fundamental fragility of critic-guided improvement: small critic errors are amplified when critics are ill-conditioned, often leading to model collapse. This paper introduces Trust Region Q-Adjoint Matching (TRQAM), a stable off-policy fine-tuning algorithm that adaptively controls the path-space KL with pretrained flow policies through projected dual descent. Specifically, we optimize the trust-region parameter λ in SOC dynamics, and theoretically show that the path-space KL can be represented by a closed-form function of λ. As a result, our method can precisely control the exact deviation from pretrained flow policies, achieving s

Retrieval is Cheap, Show Me the Code: Executable Multi-Hop Reasoning for Retrieval-Augmented Generation

Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) has become a standard approach for knowledge-intensive question answering, but existing systems remain brittle on multi-hop questions, where solving the task requires chaining multiple retrieval and reasoning steps. Key challenges are that current methods represent reasoning through free-form natural language, where intermediate states are implicit, retrieval queries can drift from intended entities, and errors are detected by the same model that produces them making self-reflection an unreliable, ungrounded signal. We observe that multi-hop question answering is a typical form of step-by-step computation, and that this structured process aligns closely with how code-specialized language models are trained to operate. Motivated by this, we introduce \pyrag, a framework that reformulates multi-hop RAG as program synthesis and execution. Instead of free-form reasoning trajectories, \pyrag represents the reasoning process as an executable Python prog

Learning Long-term Motion Embeddings for Efficient Kinematics Generation

Understanding and predicting motion is a fundamental component of visual intelligence. Although modern video models exhibit strong comprehension of scene dynamics, exploring multiple possible futures through full video synthesis remains prohibitively inefficient. We model scene dynamics orders of magnitude more efficiently by directly operating on a long-term motion embedding that is learned from large-scale trajectories obtained from tracker models. This enables efficient generation of long, realistic motions that fulfill goals specified via text prompts or spatial pokes. To achieve this, we first learn a highly compressed motion embedding with a temporal compression factor of 64x. In this space, we train a conditional flow-matching model to generate motion latents conditioned on task descriptions. The resulting motion distributions outperform those of both state-of-the-art video models and specialized task-specific approaches.

MixFlow: Mixed Source Distributions Improve Rectified Flows

Diffusion models and their variations, such as rectified flows, generate diverse and high-quality images, but they are still hindered by slow iterative sampling caused by the highly curved generative paths they learn. An important cause of high curvature, as shown by previous work, is independence between the source distribution (standard Gaussian) and the data distribution. In this work, we tackle this limitation by two complementary contributions. First, we attempt to break away from the standard Gaussian assumption by introducing κ-FC, a general formulation that conditions the source distribution on an arbitrary signal κ that aligns it better with the data distribution. Then, we present MixFlow, a simple but effective training strategy that reduces the generative path curvatures and considerably improves sampling efficiency. MixFlow trains a flow model on linear mixtures of a fixed unconditional distribution and a κ-FC-based distribution. This simple mixture improves the alignment b

Rethinking RL for LLM Reasoning: It's Sparse Policy Selection, Not Capability Learning

Reinforcement learning has become the standard for improving reasoning in large language models, yet evidence increasingly suggests that RL does not teach new strategies; it redistributes probability mass over solutions the base model already contains. In this work, we ask: if RL merely steers the model toward paths it already knows, is the RL optimization loop itself necessary? Through token-level analysis across multiple model families and RL algorithms, we find that RL's beneficial footprint is a sparse, predictable correction concentrated at high-entropy decision points where the model is uncertain which branch to take. Only 1--3\% of token positions are affected, the promoted token always lies within the base model's top-5 alternatives, and targeted corrections at those few positions causally recover a large fraction of RL's accuracy gain, while random corrections fail. The base model's own entropy identifies these positions without any RL-trained model, and the entire correction

SkillGrad: 경사하강법처럼 에이전트 스킬 최적화

Agent skills provide a lightweight way to adapt LLM agents to specialized domains by storing reusable procedural knowledge in structured files. However, whether downloaded from third parties or self-generated, these skills are often unreliable, incomplete, or outdated. Existing skill-evolution methods often address these deficiencies through heuristic reflections without an explicit optimization formulation. In this paper, we propose SkillGrad, a gradient-descent-inspired framework for optimizing agent skills. SkillGrad treats the skill package as a structured parameter to optimize in a gradient descent fashion: task executions provide trajectory-level loss evidence, automatic diagnoses then provide text-based gradients that indicate the correction directions. To stabilize optimization across iterations, a momentum agent accumulates recurring diagnostic patterns into a persistent memory overlay. Finally, an LLM-based patcher executes the parameter update by applying layer-aware edits t
